  2. Link, you are taking us into metaphysics here. Can Swedenborg give us a clue?

No, I did not paint her nose black, if that's what you're thinking. Apparently it's pretty conspicuous; Julia sometimes calls her "Bee Nose" because it looks like a bee lit on it.

  4. LOL

I'm trying to see the connection between the pitchfork and the cats?

can you help me here :)

  5. Kathy, hello! After pondering your LOL question, I don't think I can help you with any pitchfork symbolism, but an art teacher might point out the echo of the shapes of cat ears in the pitchfork.

My cats don't use tools; in fact they don't do any work at all. Also, they don't go to church, unless you consider a tree a church. So the only resemblance between the pictures is the living people, not the church or the pitchfork (or the overalls).

What jolted me when I looked at the cats' picture was how the faces, the poses, and the relative heights reminded me of AMERICAN GOTHIC.

Thanks, Kathy. I know you didn't mean this discussion to be so serious, but I've enjoyed blabbing, as usual.

  7. Kitties are just great no matter what the occasion. Well, when they're peeing in the carrier because they are mad at being taken to the vet their cuteness wanes temporarily.

  8. Tidalgrrl, likewise when the litter boxes need cleaning.

  9. Enough about Star's black nose! I have just looked in Google Images at "Siamese cats" "chocolate point", and there I verified that Star has the classic, perfect, Siamese nose. Look at some of those pictures and you'll see.

    Likewise with Birmans.

    .

So, call her "Bee Nose" if you like, but respect her noble lineage . . . whatever it is.

This is fun, thanks to you all!
